2012 Programs

Deadline for the first round of applications will be Monday, December 2nd, 2011. The first round of interviews will happen shortly after that date. You will be contacted directly to book an interview.

Village:

All village delegations are comprised of four 11 year-old delegates and an adult leader. Delegations must consist of 2 Male and 2 Female participants.

Interchange

CISV Calgary is teaming up with CISV Brasilia (Brazil)!

This program is set for the summer of 2012 for an Interchange, geared towards youth aged 12-13.

Expected timeline:

Hosting Phase: June 30th - July 14th, 2012 (in Calgary)
Travel Day: July 15th, 2012 (delegations travel together to Brazil)
Travel Phase: July 16th - July 30th, 2012 (in Brasilia)

Delegations will consist of up to 6 male and 6 female delegates, accompanied by an Adult Leader (21+) and a Junior Leader (age 18+). Our group is equally matched with a group from the Brasilia CISV chapter, and each participant is matched with a partner. Each delegate lives with the partner's family, and the group as a whole will participate in recreational and cultural activities. Each hosting chapter will host a mini-camp, giving the participants a chance to interact in a typical CISV camp setting.

This program involves total immersion into family and social life, and is an excellent way for youth to gain an understanding of daily life in other cultures.

Leaders

The Delegation programs listed above require six leaders over the age of 21 yrs and one Junior leader over the age of 18 yrs. The application forms and reference forms for these positions can be found in the forms section.

IPP (International People's Project) (19+ yrs old)

Anyone interested in applying for a IPP position, can fill out the CISV Calgary application form and mail it to the CISV office. Please also send an email to info@cisvcalgary.ca so that we know to expect an application. The deadline for this program is December 2nd. Applications will then be forwarded on to CISV Canada for processing.

Canada has three invitations to two separate IPPs;

P-2012-003 - Germany (Munich) - July 25, 2012 to August 14, 2012

These invitations are open to application from all CISV Canada chapters. For more info on the IPP programs, please submit a request to info@cisvcalgary.ca and more information will be provided.

Seminar Camp

17 and 18 year old Delegates

Anyone interested in applying for a Seminar Camp position, can fill out the Seminar Camp application form and mail it to the CISV office. Please also scan and send a copy of your completed application form to info@cisvcalgary.ca so that we know to expect an application. The deadline for this program is December 2nd. Applications will then be forwarded to CISV Canada for processing.
